The Company was established in 1979 by Paul Dunn as GB Doors. Previously only builders merchants had stocked garage doors on any scale.

It was not long before we became the first major stockist of garage doors in the South East.

As Garage Door Specialists we offered specialist fitting, after sales care, repairs and for the first time, a substantial stock covering all sizes and styles of doors with a extensive range of spares.

The company was rebranded to Academy GB Doors carrying the trade mark of Garage Door Specialists. In the mid 90's our first showroom opened in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, with a wide range of working doors and motors on display.

We are opening our second showroom in 2004, based in Witney Oxfordshire. It is the UK's largest Garage Door Showroom, dedicated to offering the best possible choice in all forms of domestic garage doors.

All of this is backed by our dedicated professional team, from well informed sales staff, site surveyors and fully trained installation engineers. We also have a trade team with specialist technical advisors aimed at supplying support to architects, developers & builders. As an approved dealer for all main brand garage door manufacturers, our staff not only receive in-house training but manufacturers' training as well.

We are completely impartial and without bias to any manufacturer, which enables Academy GB Doors to give the customer exactly what they want.
